I love Bond films. Sean Connery being my all time favourite, I’m not one of these girls that swoon over the guy though, for me it’s always been about the cars and the gadgets. So after being told the new Bond does not have many gadgets, I’m a little miffed to say the least, please god let there be an Aston Martin in there somewhere..........
The other reason for being "miffed" is the casting of Daniel Craig as Bond, no idea who came up with his name. For me Christian Bale would of been my No.1 choice, but then i would say that, because I want to fuck his brains out, so before my head gets swamped by thoughts of Christian Bale being dirty i guess i should tell you about this movie.

Now, I believe the opening credits of a Bond movie usually reflect the standard of the actual movie, no particular reason, just a belief I have. There have been some superb opening credits in the past, but some dire ones as well. It helps if you have a decent theme song, the latest is called "You Know My Name" by the fucking gorgeous Chris Cornell (Audioslave) and it totally rocks, different, but I think the intention is to re - invent Bond this time round, and this song is a good start.
The opening credits don’t disappoint, they are a kind of weird animation thing, using poker chips and lots of other "casino" related items, set to the Cornell track, they work brilliantly, but again, a lot different, I could see some people hating the whole sequence, I loved it.

Let’s cut to the chase here, what about Bond himself?? Does Craig manage to pull it off?? Yes he fucking does, he is awesome, he manages to make Bond a more believable character, there’s more of a sensitive side to him, but without losing the "action man" bit, Bond falls in love in this movie, which is something I never wanted to see, but it works, it really fucking does, and its all down to Craig. I cannot slate him at all, which is slightly annoying, but he really has made Bond his own. I think he’s going to be Bond for along time.
Now reviewing a film is difficult in the sense that you, at some point mention the plot, I’m not giving anything away here, there is a plot, it is fucking good, let’s leave it at that shall we?
Some fucking idiot in a tuxedo yesterday
The supporting cast is not as strong as it could be, but both Judi Dench as "M" and Eva Green as Vesper Lynd both give solid performances, even though Dame Judi does look like Pauline Fowler AFTER a face lift! I actually think Vesper Lynd may be my favourite Bond Girl ever! Why? Well she is a lot classier than your usual walking tits and ass Bond girl, the character is far more intelligent than most, and she didnt drop her knickers within five minutes of meeting Bond. Now that’s a fucking refreshing change.........
There is an Aston Martin, which gets written off, I actually swore rather loudly in the cinema when that happened, what a fucking waste I think I said..... All in all, the new re - invented Bond works very well, its worth a look, it has your classic one liners, brilliant action scenes, a lot of humour, and an abundance of sex appeal, Craig has proved himself to be more than worthy of the 007 title, right at the end, when he says those five legendary words, "the names Bond, James Bond" you will grin like a fucking idiot, I know I did.
